#159 G Update and Dog Perspective in Training versus Yours

In this episode, after a brief discussion of what G's been up to (spoiler... not much different) I talk about training for marks and blinds by looking from our eyes and minds versus what the dog sees, thinks and experiences.  Sometimes things can be made easier or less frustrating if we begin the work from their state of mind and concept.

In this episode, after bringing everyone up to date with G, we talk about the approach to raising and then beginning serious training with the "fire breathing dragon" highly motivated, intensely focused dogs, which can often be hard to handle as they grow up and really want to make the decisions for themselves.  Many of the 'teenage' problems can be prevented by approaching the youngsters with awareness of their internal drive..  At the end, a response to the listener questions about training in this summers heat.

In this episode we go over the challenges of the dog that has difficult engaging or staying focused.  They can ultimately be very successful, particularly if when their little brains are developing, we use that time to create the ability to sustain a thought or remain focused on something important. Training of the ADHD pup is very important at the beginning.  Understanding these kinds of dogs is the important first step in their long term training and success.
